I recently added some files to my Jellyfin instance, and some of them had their metadata scraped incorrectly. This was no big deal, they weren’t named very well. These files ended up being displayed in a “Season Unknown” season of the show. So I fixed the names, and the files’ metadata was corrected automatically. However, the “Season Unknown” remained, with no media displaying in it. I can’t figure out how to get rid of it. Anyone have any ideas?

A kind of similar thing happened to me where I added a music album. It had some weird duplication issue where 2 album entries were created: one entry with all the proper metadata that did not correctly link to the files and one with no metadata besides song names that did link to the files. I had to remove all the files of the artist from my library so Jellyfin could completely remove the album entry. Then, when I added the artist back it read the album properly without duplication.

TLDR try removing the entire show and waiting for Jellyfin to wipe it from the library

Is it an empty folder? You should just be able to delete the season from Jellyfin regardless.

The show itself is a folder but all the episodes are just in a flat list under it, the seasons are not in separate folders. Seasons in jellyfin get created according to the file names, i.e. S03E10.
