As of July 24, Freedom Mobile is also implementing seamless handoff when moving between home and partner networks. Previously, when moving between networks, customer calls would sometimes drop, or data would be interrupted.

    Good to know they’re still upgrading. I was worried they’d become stagnant with the Shaw sale.

      TBH, I’m not holding my breath for 5G since it’ll be heavier on my battery than LTE and I have seen 500Mbps on LTE (not on Freedom), but otherwise I do share the sentiment. 🤭

        Yeah same. I haven’t really been waiting for 5g. I don’t need that speed on my phone, especially if it drains the battery much more quickly. I suppose it might be good for other device types though.

    Do they support Apple Watches? It’s nice to have connectivity on mine when I go running.

      They seem to be selling it, so maybe. I’ve no idea how data plans for those work. I am using an eSIM with my Pixel though, so I know eSIM is supported on some devices.
