Overcomplicating something that should be simple, so now it fails critical instead of safe. That’s an interesting design choice.
Tesla is doing some very cool machine learning research and development with FSD, but they have a frustrating propensity to use machine learning where a simpler solution would be easier. See also: Rain detection.
