    This is a great vid. I’m not in an industry that has ever been unionized, so my only hope is a solidarity union like the IWW. Because of that, my interactions with, and my view of unions has been pretty limited. Seeing this down to earth interview with a guy who’s seen the best and worst of unions is such a great viewpoint.

      Some unions are better than others, but ultimately, if someone wants to change their union they need to get involved. I’ve seen so many locals where the president runs unopposed for years.

    Dude raises some really good points, including placing unions in the broader context of the working class getting shafted in the economy.

    I didn’t watch it but I imagine it’s something like “I was tired of getting forcefully bent over a table and rammed by a large corporation, so I decided to join the people who also didn’t like getting rammed. Now, I don’t get rammed anymore, it’s pretty sweet”
