You can infer from their previous comment that it is because it makes them happier.

Trucking business sucks and is massively exploitative, well, I guess that makes it similar to every other business.

      Floating goals, really 🤷🏻‍♂️

Since puberty people have told I have a voice for radio, so the original idea was “I bet I could get on the radio to tell fart jokes and try to push my taste in music on the world” but the radio class was full. So I accepted the spot in TV and liked the technical side of things, so I stuck with it.

I was driving a school bus for 3 years to keep myself available for opportunities that came up. I’m now working an entry-level position for a big broadcaster, making more per-hour than I ever did trucking. I have some other freelance work as well, so I quit the school bus last month. So, the change is complete? I dunno, doesn’t feel like I’m there yet, but I’m feeling good about it.

Back up a little. I thought that their new choice in profession was genuinely interesting and wanted to hear them talk more about it. Obviously they chose a different route because trucking wasn’t making them happy.

Don’t be so presumptive in saying that I should just infer things rather than asking questions. This is supposed to be a place for meaningful discussions.

True, I hope my comment didn’t come across as me shutting you down, I was intending to add not subtract.

        Sorry about that.

Thank you for being respectful, and I appreciate you saying that. Consider it nothing.
