Yep, that’s partially due to the lack of accountability in law enforcement. It’s also a rowdy college town with a huge bar scene.
It’s a good example though because demographically it’s fairly evenly split on the political spectrum (minor lean to Democrat but historically split), so I think it does a good job of showing how other cities have become shitholes and it’s not just a Portland or liberal thing.
Defunding happened but then they corrected. The problem is they lost officers and nobody wants to work there.

Right so the defund argument is BS in 2024, they just don’t want to do their job.
