Sucks, but you’re a parent. Being unnecessarily sleep deprived around your kid isn’t being a 10/10 parent.

Necessary sleep loss is defined as that which is related to parenting or earning income directly, and all parents have to live with that.

That’s fair, but parents deserve to decompress too.

Absolutely, but all nighters when you’re on kid duty is simply gone.

Don’t be exhausted in front of your kids from drinking, partying or gaming. It’s all the same.

        They can tell

Yeah fortunately my kids aren’t little, little anymore. So now the sleep deprivation is 100% self inflicted on my part. On the weekends, I tend to catch a heavy case of “just one more drop”-itis.

HuH? I’m just reflecting on a childhood with a drunk and an overworker.

        What are you on about

The point is that your cold, machine-like rhetoric is not only undemocratic, but also not really useful in this situation. OP posted a meme venting about parenthood, and your response comes off as “Too bad, so sad, I have no feeling for your feelings”.

I have feeling for his kid, who has a underperforming parent. (Edit self inflicted. I’m not suggesting parents can’t be tired or have complications. Or that parents are 10/10 or 0/10. But pulling an all night gaming sesh when you have a kid who needs you in the morning is NOT good parenting.)

Undemocratic? What part of any of this situation has anything to do with politics?

Robotic? Sorry I didn’t talk like a teenager lol
