So what the hell is this post even for? It links to a single tweet in the middle of a series of tweets from a retired journalist/current politician that otherwise seems to be 100% obsessed with AOC and spends nearly all her time X’ing about her. After having viewed her profile for a minute, i decided to find out a little more and it didn’t take long to reveal a conservative in liberal clothing:
"In her 2010 book, “You Know I’m Right: More Prosperity, Less Government,” Caruso-Cabrera called for privatizing both Medicare and Social Security, which she described as “the country’s biggest pyramid schemes.”
She ran against AOC, which is why she’s “obsessed with AOC.” Either way, her journalistic credibility is pretty solid in the context of CNBC, so just because she is right-wing does not invalidate her reporting or connections.
She’s a former registered Republican with an axe to grind with AOC. She became a Democrat only in name, brought all her right-wing bullshit along with her.
