    Laws deemed unconstitutional should have the litigation costs come from the lawmakers that voted to pass the law.

      The way it used to work is that a lawmaker engaging in this type of behavior that was then struck down was pubically shamed and disowned from the base, unfortunately in topsy turvy 2000s you can make fun of the handicapped, suggest the population drink bleach, grab a gal by her ya know, and threaten to shoot a man in the middle of the street on the basis you won’t lose any voters and… Not lose any voters? Odd times. 😩
