Telus-owned Public Mobile announced last week its legacy rewards program was coming to end, starting in May. All existing users on the old rewards program will be transitioned over to the newest Public Points program. Since covering this story, Public Mobile customers have ramped up their frustration over the ending of the old rewards program,
Agreed. As time would go on the new customers would larger outnumber the old. So what was the point of making this change.
Even if they grandfathered it like “you get to keep the old rewards for as long as you are on your existing plan”, I’d be happy.
Eventually, legacy users will upgrade their plan, and move to the new points program, so it wouldn’t be nearly as abrasive as kicking them off.
