    And Russia is 1/10th the size of India and Putin is accused of manipulating people from dozens of different countries, including India. So I don’t see why that’s relevant. I have no clue if that person’s statement is right or wrong, mind you, just saying that population isn’t as important as other factors. Nigeria, Bangladesh, Congo, Ethiopia, etc. They’re all countries with 100+ mil people but they don’t hold much influence over other countries afaik.

        Same reasons you don’t hear about most stuff that happens in most other places. Can you name 3 headlines from Italy from the past month? What about Japan? Australia? Philippines? There’ll be 1-2 every now and then but usually that’s about it. Because nless it’s a plane crash or some celebrity or something like that, you’ll never hear about most stuff that happens.

            I didn’t mean you personally, I meant in general. Local news don’t reach most people internationally because most people aren’t actively looking for them and they’re not gonna be seen on international news because they’re not on international scale.
