    American here, sorry to intrude in your space. I live in Washington state so not terribly far from Vancouver. Would anyone be willing to give me some context regarding why abolishing the elected park board is sought after? Thank you in advance.

      Seems to read like a power struggle between the parks n rec and their Conservative overlords.

      Control, also the desire to sell off parkland to developers. The city is going to change but we will see what shit they try to pull once it happens
