Since this craziness started in 2016, I have been amazed there haven’t been assignations. The right makes villain out of anyone who is against them and are cracy enough to try. Meanwhile, the left as a legitimate case to worry about fascism so I could also understand someone on that side taking drastic action.
It is truly a wonder that the shootings have managed to stay in the schools and haven’t really spilled into politics.
There have certainly been attempts. I think someone or some institution was tracking all the right wing political violence from recent years, but I cannot remember it right now.
I still wonder what would have happened if those thugs at the insurrection had gotten their paws on some members of Congress and/or Pence.
