Might make these threads monthly until we are more populated. What are you drinking today?
It’s summer so I’ve been ordering tiki drinks. Painkiller’s all day.
I have a bunch of left over limes from a party: it’s daiquiri time baby! I added a rinse of chartreuse elixir last night and that was delicious so I’ll probably do that again.
Caipirinha
The recipes all called for sugar. Switching to simple syrup made mine taste like the ones from the Brazilian Steakhouse and made making them simpler.
Been drinking a lot of whiskey sours lately.
I’m still at work but as soon as i get home I’m going to open a new bottle of makers mark and make myself a texas iced tea.
Yum!
Today will be a pool day so Citadelle Jardin D’Ete Gin & Walmart lime sparkling water. Yes, that’s right I add cheap lime flavored sparkling water to my citrus heavy gin. It is very refreshing and I can drink it all day. Have to stay hydrated while out in the heat.
We just flew into Ciudad de México today, so hopefully some good Mezcal (or even better Charanda) and cocktails soon! If anyone has any recommendations on places to go get a drink near La Condesa or Roma Norte, let me know!
Browsing around mixel for something with coconut cream, made me something called a catamaran. Mixel claims it’s a Death &Co. Recipe.
That’s beautiful looking. The recipe sounds, um, interesting. Gin & Aperol & coconut and a cinnamon stick? How is it?
Pretty solid. I’m always on the lookout for a non-rum tiki drink, and this hits all the beats. A little sweet, but enough complexity to stay interesting through the finish.
A non alcoholic fruity cocktail of fresh squeezed lime and orange juice topped with Jarritos guava soda. It’s good. And very pretty.
Also have secured passion fruit liqueur and making some fire tincture from vodka, garden habaneros, orange zest and anatto paste. Already planned an end of July celebration (I am not the only one in my circle who does Dry July) and making a round of that Cima Summer cocktail.
Tepache this evening. If you want an easy & delicious entry level fermentation project that uses something you would otherwise throw out, tepache is it.
maybe unpopular but lemon drops 😋
I like 'em. Usually do vodka, limoncello, fresh lemon juice and a sugar rim. Really good before a pasta meal if you don’t like wine.
