They have laws against child labour and all other ills that plague the continent so they wouldn’t need a new law to do this all they would need to do is enforce the law which is one of the major problems with Africa laws aren’t usually enforced and when they are it’s done often for political goals instead of justice furthermore it wouldn’t actually solve the problem at all. The way to solve the problem in the long term is to fix their system of governance so they can ensure all monies in the treasury are accounted for and are used for their intended purpose so that they can an environment in which people can well paying jobs, peace and dignity and in the term short term to put the parents in some skills training and ensuring the children don’t work in unsafe conditions instead of fining the poor parents.

        1. I just explained why a law would be a poor tool to solve this problem

        2. All countries on the continent are not former france colonies and even for those that are we can clearly see states like senegal making real effort to create jobs so that completely negates the idea that france is responsible for everything wrong with Africa and further validates my talk about failure on the part of African governments

France is just on example of what western colonialism is doing to Africa. The core problem is that African countries aren’t allowed to develop in a way that benefits them. Any time countries try to assert their sovereignty and put a government that works in the interest of their people, the west overthrows their government, stages coups, funds terrorists, and if all else fails invades these countries.

Those activists need to fix their own house first, and solve the problem with child labor on US.

The article indirectly admits that the exploitation is largely done by western companies like Nestle that operate in Africa.
