Well, from here it will be up to the union’s members to ratify it so they can express their displeasure with a vote. No agreement = back to the bargaining table.
From the information I have, the tentative deal was confirmed 10 minutes before the deadline. What information suggests that it was the union or the company capitulating? What information is available in that this contract is pro-company?
I can form a better opinion based on what you can provide aside from conjecture. The main thing my comment is saying is that it’s a good day for the bargaining process, the labour minister comes out on top, I hope for a fair deal for the workers, and I hope it is satisfactory for the company.
They might have, but that conclusion is still based on a lot of conjecture rather than current negotiation information, which isn’t available yet.
I’ll reserve my judgement on how good the offer is until we hear the union’s votes and their future statements. For now, an agreement is an agreement without back-to-work legislation, which should be celebrated.
Excellent news. Good look for the Minister of Labour. Hope workers and the port employers both got enough of what they wanted.

The workers still have to ratify the agreement. Let’s see what they do before declaring defeat.
