Most people who claim to want to “change the world for the better” who actually gain traction tend to consider the world sufficiently better the moment their accounts reach fuck-you-money status.
It just doesn’t sound as pretty to declare “Oh I’m a greedy fuck who hopes one day to be one of the world’s top exploiters of human beings so I can live in perpetual gluttony and tell governments what to do through legal bribery.” They also want people to believe they’re good people as they reduce the lives of other people into nothing more than capital batteries supporting the grand system of sociopaths winning and prosocial citizens losing by design.
