It feels like every time I find a podcast about security/networking/technology the hosts end up saying some pretty off-color stuff, or I look them up and they also host right wing podcasts. Are there any that are more leftist, hosted by LGBT peeps, or at least not actively bigoted ?
I’m not from the US, and I’m a “commie”, in some sense of the word. So don’t believe I give two shits about that label.
But be extremely careful when you try to advocate for change and mention nazis as a driving force of change. Because nazis definitely didn’t do that to you, because they didn’t rule in the US, but they also didn’t help you- instead, they actively fought against societal change. History has focused on the massive crimes of fascist nations( and rightly so lol), and we tend to forget what it is at it’s core.
Even if we move past the blatantly hateful, racist, anti-scientific,anti-semitic and generally disgusting rhetoric of fascism(and that in itself, is a pretty fucking large concession):
Fascism (nazis) always supported the capitalist class. Always.
Fascism is NOT an alternative to capitalism, it never was, and it never will be. Fascism is simply a more raw version of capitalism, one that does not try to hide it’s assault on the working class, on the oppressed, on minorities. Every single iteration of fascism attempts to crush every movement within society that attempts to drive it forward, to give power to the workers, to the oppressed, to minorities. And that is most definitely not anti-systemic.
Did capitalists lose power after Hitler became dictator? Did capitalists lose power after Mussolini did the same?
Why did multiple german companies support hitler’s rise to power? Why does the bourgeoisie in general support fascists?
Because fascists serve capitalism, despite their vague claims of being “anti-systemic” or “revolutionaries”. Fascism is forced class collaboration- it protects the interests of the bourgeoisie that leeches off the workers’ through rampant anti-communism. Today, fascists don’t support strikes, they break them up, all over the world. And that is how Mussolini and the fascisti also initially gained the support of the bourgeoisie.
Even within the NSDAP(the nazi party in germany), there was a “revolutionary” movement - the one spearheaded by Rohm, one that called for redistribution of wealth. But because Hitler himself had powerful capitalist/industrial allies, guess what happened to Rohm and all his supporters. I’ll let you look it up.
Nice spill on the Nazi’s. Can you do one for communists now?
