I had a tough time getting started on this one because as soon as I looked at it, all I could see was MICHAEL. Of course, that’s a proper name so it’s not a valid word, but still… cannot unsee.
I’m at 24 words with 58 points and got 57 more points to Genius 😵💫
Gotten quite a bunch of 4 letter words. It’s the longer words I’m struggling with.
It’s mostly short words today, with lots of 4s and 5s. There’s a CA8 flower, a CH7 cup, the CH8 pangram, HE7 spirally things, and HE8 stuff related to the sun.
That last one is a word I’ve never heard before today. I had to use a Steve G clue and ten minutes of guessing to get it. All those years of learning Greek and Latin root words finally paid off.
This is one of those days that’s full of stuff I pretty much only see in the spelling bee. It’s why I go all the way to QB every day, even if I have to “cheat” with increasingly helpful clues. Those words I learn about in the last stretch eventually get burned to long term memory and my next run to QB gets that much easier.

Same here. I enjoy coming across new words thanks to the Spelling Bee and try to QB as well with hints.
It’s just that Spelling Bee is a bit lower on my priority list right now with all the word games I play, so I’m not able to get to it on most days. My next semester starts tomorrow so I’m gonna be busy again 😅

I retired on 31 October, so I have quite a bit of spare time. :-)
