This is just Gardiner’s sign list of Egyptian Hieroglyphics A1-B2 with a couple of repeats thrown in at the end. You’ve thrown a vocabulary list at us.

A tale as old as the pyramids.
It’s origins are lost to time

You’ve lost me
Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure J and W aren’t in the Latin alphabet.
That’s not the curse of Caesar, it’s the curse of William.
SPQR is on point
It’s not vocabulary. Hieroglyphics are an alphabet. What a smarty pants dumb dumb that first replier is.
akshually, hieroglyphics use logographic, syllabic, and alphabetical elements to form a logography which can be used as an abjad
Stop seducing me, I’m a married man.
This commenter heiroglyphs!
In many texts, writers play with different or unusual ways of sounding out words perhaps to make the visual representation better. Ugh. Here’s a link if you’re interested in learning more
sadly no! i just paraphrased the wikipedia description. however i did have a hunch that i was correct.
If you’re going to be pedantic, at least be correct.
Fine, fine, but it’s (mostly) not words like people used to think and the screenshot implied.
Hate to be that guy, but Caesar wouldn’t have known the letters J, U and W
I have to wonder what the text to speech transcription of that sounds like
There was no J in Caesars alphabet.
also no u and no w
