Remember when this small man’s plan to get elected was to take off his tie and glasses?

The state of politics in Canada is embarrassing.

The only thing that seems to have the potential to move the needle down south has been grade school name calling with even dumber retorts. We definitely don’t have a monopoly on idiocy.

Using the United States as a comparison already says a lot. They’ve been a joke of a “democracy” for about 40 years already. Being better than them is not a highlight.

Please make the rest of the country understand that though. They still believe the American dream is a thing and it’s the best country in the world and therefore beating them at all is a massive achievement in their eyes. Unfortunately the US ranks last in the G7 by most metrics that are worth anything, by a large margin

It’s hard to believe that the carbon tax and Canada’s forests both came under their greatest fires the same year - 2023. Are the politicians helping us connect the dots?

Trudeau’s decision to exempt Atlantic Canada’s heating oil was so singularly stupid that you’d have to suspect it was part of the plan to sabotage the carbon tax.

I don’t know what’s sadder: that, or that carbon taxation was the Conservative solution to climate change in the first place.
