So many times I’ve spent too much time poring over logs and trying useless and unnecessarily complicated debugging only to want to slap myself in the face because I forgot to open a port on the firewall.
- DNS: it’s easy. It’s your fault.
- DHCP: it’s almost easy. If you’re using a toy to run it, maybe it’s your fault.
- printers: fuck HP. Fuck radios. Fuck inkjets all to hell.
I don’t even work tech support but as the comp sci student at my retail job I’ve been designated as the one to go to when anything goes wrong.
It’s always those three.
