🤞🤞🤞🤞 I’m currently crossing all appendages for Manoah’s start tonight. Hoping he’s back to his dominant self. If we have half the Manoah we had last year, the AL East is not out of reach.

Any guesses what they will do if Manoah and Ryu both come back strong?

Dominate. If we get Manoah and Ryu back at anywhere near their best, also Chad Green (who I haven’t heard about at all since we signed him) this team is going to be unstoppable. Maybe we go to some kind of 6 man rotation to keep all the arms more rested, or maybe we stash Kikuchi in the bullpen for long relief for bad starts. Gives Schneider the ability to have a shorter leash on guys, because we have someone who can eat innings waiting in the bullpen.

It definitely feels earlier than I would have expected. Hopefully the Jays know what they’re doing and they’ve seen everything they need to know he will see better success this time. If he gets shelled again, I worry what it will do to his mental game. He seemed like he was broken mentally when he was sent down, so hopefully he’s got the mojo back and it’s here to stay.

Yeah, me too. Wishing him the best, and that’s more as a person than a Blue Jay. I’m surprised they are bringing him back so soon - I wasn’t expecting to see him until maybe August at the earliest. Let’s hope he found some control and has built up some stamina. Otherwise this could really mess him up (even worse).

Like you say though, if he can approach where he was last year, that would huge for the last half of the season and could really improve their chances.

Manoah completely exceeded my expectations for his return, I hope he’s turned it around. It would be amazing for the team to have a full rotation again.

Don’t look now but the Jays are tied with the Astros for the second wild card and have the head-to-head advantage against them.
