      Switzerland is part of the single market, I’d guess they’re paying the EU to be part of TEN-T. The UK is trying to have as little association with the EU as possible.

      Switzerland participates in Schengen and the european free trade association while not being an EU member state. The UK doesn’t do any of those things.

      Seems to be transit only. Also Switzerland mostly plays by EU rules.
