For killing someone? Causing someone’s death due to negligence is only worth a month of jail to you?
If it was an accident than ya, I don’t think jailing someone for 10 years because they didn’t buy new tires quick enough helps anyone.
If it was because of using a phone or something maybe 1 - 2 years since it was a conscious decision on their part.
If it were drunk driving then 5 years or so.
All of which depends on the person admitting fault and showing remorse. No sense ruining another person’s life as long as it won’t happen again.
