I mean most games lose performance because of drm. Thats how drm works
Still a sad state of PC gaming. You’re better off buying the game when it gets cracked (and since that takes a while, it’s usually cheaper too), or when it becomes available on GOG.
This is the unfortunate side affect of modern DRM. It puts a lot of (in some cases major) inconveniences on the users who actually buy the game, only to give pirates a minor inconvenience.
