Not everyone is physically able to and some people aren’t comfortable doing so while keeping a job.
I though you have long parental leave in Canada
Some people can’t afford to leave their jobs for extended amounts of time. The sort of people who can’t afford formula, for example.

It is, but at a percentage of income (2/3?). The loss of income is usually manageable. If your income is low enough that you’re already on the edge, that loss could push you over.
I suppose you could say the same thing if your income and expenses are both quite high, as there is a maximum payout.
Its even less in Russia - only 40% of of persons average income, they pay it for 18 month
Here it’s for 1 year and can be at least partly split between both parents. I’m pretty sure that it also applies to adoptions.
Yes, we do… but not long enough to completely invalidate pumping concerns.
