Eight hours a day, his job as a content moderator for a Facebook contractor required him to look at horrors so the world wouldn’t have to. Some overwhelmed colleagues would scream or cry, he said.

    I’ve read other articles on this in the past. It’s appalling that one of the largest companies in the world can’t afford to treat their human content moderators better. The lack of care provided is fucking disgusting. I hope they win the case and that the lawyers don’t take everything from the settlement.

    At least until AI gets better, we, sadly, need to have humans in this loop. But we need to treat them like people.
