I don’t who the hell you are but I’ve come to love you … your daily screenshots are subliminal and force me to relive the 90s all over again and remember the Kids In The Hall … it’s a beautiful thing.
Today’s image and your response sent me down a rabbit hole and I found an interview Paul did this past January with the podcast ‘Kith And Tell’
I didn’t have the time to listen to the whole thing so I ran a quick transcription to find this …
So we interviewed her and she told us all about your raucous disco night at KC and the Sunshine Band down in Miami
Paul Bellini - (27:28)
“One of the top 10 evenings of my entire life. I have to thank them. You know, I’m a huge disco fan. And when I discovered KC and the Sunshine Band, I bought all the albums in one week. And they blew me away. And I would listen to them on headphones go, how do they do this? When I went to a St. Petersburg to shoot the segment. I remember Rebecca and Ramona said, What are you doing tonight? I said, Oh, just going back to the hotel. They said, We want to take you to see KC and the Sunshine Band in Tampa. They play in this club in Tampa. And i My heart stopped. They said, Are you kidding? But it’s amazing. And we drove there and they drove like maniacs I was terrified. We get to the club, it’s virtually empty. Oh, there is the entire 11 piece band on stage. All the original members, Richard Finch was still alive at the time. And they did all the hits. And I remember I cried pretty much nonstop through the entire thing. And I was so close. I could reach out and almost touch Casey. It was the best night of my life. And I have to thank them that was they they did me a solid.”
It also led me to discover that Bellini is originally from Timmins, Ontario … I’m in Sudbury but I’ve lived and worked all over the north, including Timmins and I never knew this.
Keep doing whatever you’re doing @[email protected] … you’re working into my brain and I can’t tell if I like that or not … but it feels good … I think … wow
Thanks for keeping us connected to this great era of Canadiana … I grew up watching the show but only for a handful of episodes because we either didn’t have a TV connection, could never organize ourselves to see it at the right time or we were just too busy. All I remember is that it was a great laugh every time we happened to see it.
Every time I see your posts now, I’m reminded I should go back to watching them again. And every time I go take the time see the show … I feel like a kid again.

And thank you for being on the same Kids wavelength for something that isn’t always repeating funny lines or showing the headcrusher crushing heads.
