Oh no problem. It struck me as odd when I saw everything as it was too. I’m still not sure where the doorknob sitting on the one desk came from.

Do you think it’s possible that some other people may have been here previously and set the props? I live in South Dakota where we definitely have some abandoned schools similar to this one, but I also know teens and other people often find them and mess around because life is so boring here lol

Possible. The rural municipality that cares for the property may have added it as well to give it a sense of realism too, I have no idea.

The schoolhouse is out in the middle of nowhere in Manitoba Canada about a half hour from my house so it’s not very well known aside from some of the locals out here.

There is a few other old schoolhouses but most of them are in much worse shape, like this one.

Pigeons got in through one of the broken windows and crapped all over the place.

I love these pictures, so thanks for sharing. Even though I’m too young to have attended one of these schools, my dad did, and it always makes me think of him.

Also, I’ve been to Manitoba. My husband and I have road tripped to Winnipeg, which is a surprisingly interesting city, kind of a hidden gem in my opinion.

I was born and raised in wpg, although I moved out an hour southwest to raise my daughters. Interesting is one word for it, although it’ll always have a place in my heart.
