Right wing media works very hard to spread the idea that “freedom” is the ability to take from the commons to benefit oneself at the expense of everyone else with no repercussions. While any attempt to thwart someone from doing so is repression. Support for “right-to-work” is an expression of that.

Right to work cuts both ways. If more people would take advantage of it, we would see companies offering higher pay to get people to work. As it is, so many people are afraid if being out of work for even a short time that they don’t flex the power they do have. I’ve told bosses to fuck off (in nicer words) when they try to get me in on a day off. When I worked target 2 of us straight up told our etl that we were leaving after 12 hours because if we didn’t, we wouldn’t be there that night for the next truck. Make yourself someone they rely on and it gives you a lot of freedom and leeway when you need it.

The above said. I’m all for unions and collective bargaining but we have more power than some realize.

I’m saddened by the state of affairs across the globe. Every time I bring up taking control of your own destiny I get argued with and downvoted. While you fight for and build up a union or grow a collective to bargain, use the laws and power you do have to make life better for yourself and others.
