This warms my heart. Thank you to PC party leadership for finally standing against this hateful man. Better late than never.

    I’m surprised, but not that surprised. Richard Hatfield was gay and he became premier in 1970! The “Progressive” in PC hasn’t always been lip service.

      I was today years old when I learned that Hatfield was gay. A gay francophile leader seems so far removed from the current reality of the party.

        At least one other high-profile PC of the time is gay too, but I don’t know to what extent he’s publicly out so I won’t name him. He isn’t too pleased about the current situation.
