Gas prices jumped up by eight to 10 cents overnight, pushing many stations to a price of $1.44. Some Regina drivers said they were already feeling the pinch while others kept the wider world in perspective.

Matt McClain, a petroleum analyst with GasBuddy, said predicted prices could reach about $1.50 a litre by the end of the week – a forecast that had some people changing their plans.
