I took my kayak out this weekend and reminded myself how much I dislike carrying it around so I figured I’d build some wheels for it so I can drag it instead! I pulled it around the patio and it seems sturdy enough.

That looks awesome. What about the frame of the wheels cracking the kayak frame? Also, most kayaks go through sandy or muddy ground, would you want fat wheels for better surface area?
I don’t think there’s too much to worry about cracking the kayak frame but the rubbing of the two pieces might wear it down. I’m debating adding foam or padding to the cross beam.
Yeah, I may want to change out to bulkier tires eventually but I figured I’d give these a shot. There’s actually a decent amount of clearance once it’s mounted.
