Hey everyone, I’m working on making my own trackball, and the shell design is kicking my ass because I’m also learning cad on the way.
Does anyone have a 3d scanner they can use to create an approximate model of the MX Ergo mouse so I can study it? Going off photos, I just don’t see the shape.
This is what I got so far:
What sort of file would you need? I have an MX ergo and I believe there’s a few apps that can generate a 3D scan with an iPhone.

@CoffeeBot I think the lidar resolution is quite low, I remember it was on the scale of centimiters when I tried
Yeah I was trying and it feels like I need a turntable or something to take a reliable scan
