Seriously over-engineered and still dependent on a cloud service for hosting. Overall good ideas in that article though, but I doubt many people would ever consider such a setup, not only because of the high monthly price.
IMHO for the needs of most people and somewhat depending on how shitty their ISP is, hosting basic services off their own home internet connection should be a serious consideration. It really works much better in most cases than people seem to be aware.
