With some of these organizations, it might be helpful if locals would contact them asking if they would make a mastodon account. It’s easier to have them make both during a transition, instead of a few months into using bluesky

Are they moving to Mastodon?

As much as I like Mastodon the sign up friction for regular non tech people is way too high. This one is likely for bluesky.
If Mastodon had better onboarding as well as seamless cross-posting functionality, I could see it passively growing much faster.
