Politics is only a subset of what relates to a country. For example, there’s language, culture, cuisine, history, etc… There’s much for average enjoyers to appreciate, and I want us to have a good time together.
I guess the most political sub is “Geopolitics”, so I can’t argue with you there. If it bothers you, you can unsubscribe from it. I can only promise to hold the moderation to higher standards than what you saw on the raging dumpster fire that is lemmy.ml. We are aiming to keep it civil and intelligent, which I feel Sopuli admins have already demonstrate that they know how to do.
