It looks like there is a market inside the grounds, but I’m not interested in paying over $100 to shop for local crafts…

    Yeah, I get that there’s money involved in running the festival, but I’m not interested in the music. I just want to check out the vendors and I’m not paying $100 $140 to check out a few booths to buy crafts.

    If I was a vendor, I wouldn’t want to spend money to set up in a space where people have to pay that much to see my goods.

    Even the Etsy fairs are at the edge of what I’m willing to spend to go see vendors, and I think that was only $5.

    I wish there was another way to keep the festival going

    If they’re selling out at $140 a pop, more power to them, but I’m guessing most of those people are paying that for the music, not the vendors. They should set up the vendors in a space that’s free or a hell of a lot cheaper to allow more people to check them out.

    Having traveled to many countries, and attending many a street market, I have to say that our support for small businesses to sell stuff on the street is absolutely atrocious here in Canada. Anyone remember Baklava Man?
