I always try to have that in mind when I talk to my SO. I usually say “I’ve read X and lemmy but lemmy is VERY left bla bla”. Not to invalidate what I read here, but to be mindful of my sources.

Can you please elaborate on this? I thought the Nazi party was great for the German economy, taking the country out of a great recession. Nothing I learned hinted at the german population having it bad, the “only” problem was killing on an industrial scale.

EDIT: Some searching and reading on the internet indicates that

1. Brutally oppressed is (in my opinion) a bit strongly worded. I would seem they wanted Totalitarianism.
2. To actually give a proper answer to my question would require a format other than a this.
3. #2 would also require a lot of background to give context and nuance.

Well sure, anyone can use the source code as long as they adhere to the license. What I meant is that the repo hosting the code that everyone is using is not public, as in anyone can read (and fork) but anyone not authorized cannot write to it without authorization. Someone owns the repo (thus “owns” the code").

The SO could always pay for a subscription themself.

I second LG. Probably even if I don’t connect it to the internet. OLED + webOS + magic remote. If it was super important to not require internet etc, still LG but JB it.

Bitwarden is my goto choice if not keepass. My partner has it and is happy with it. I’m not constantly bothered with questions so I am also happy.

I can highly recommend KeePassXC. Works on Windows, Linux, Android and on Mac and iPhone (Strongbox if you are on Apple, by same file works).

I used to sync with pcloud but I use syncthing now instead.
