For someone who’s third place was almost always bars and clubs, quitting drinking really curtailed my social life. I’ve gone to bars since quitting and there’s just no draw for me there now. Turns out not all bar friends are non-bar friends, not shocked but sad.

Yeah, maybe they should find someone more qualified like a banker or a lawyer.

Might I also suggest at least a 3 month supply of dehydrated/canned/nonperishable foods as a buffer. More would, of course, be better but you’ll want some kind of buffer before gardens start producing.
