  • If you’re going self taught, you can’t go wrong with JustinGuitar.com. He has some great lessons and it’s all free. You can upgrade and he has paid stuff, but I’ve never done them. If you are in the right place and can swing it, take some classes. If you find the right instructor it’ll be awesome. I didn’t take lessons for years but finally sprung for them. I don’t think it’s made a difference that I can tell but my wife says I’m paying much better.

JustinGuitar is the shit for free Find a School of Rock or an instructor to on-ramp faster.

  • I’m late to the party, and there’s only one season, but we just finished Silo on Apple. That show was badass. There’s a second season already filming.

I know you asked for shows, but the Expanse books (especially the first 2) and beyond awesome. The science and the approach to uneven technology distribution and advancement is so cool. I haven’t seen the show yet though so can’t speak to that. I can read after a sesh, but not everyone can.

  • I have a pc and bought an Xbox series S. The XBOX was so that I can play COD with my brother in law. Everyone was talking how awesome game pass is, but it was underwhelming to me. Lots of good games, but I ended up scrolling through it like Netflix and never settled on anything.

But I’ve been spending so much time lately on my PS4. I’m working through Spiderman. Next I’m going to revisit God of War 2018 or TLOU…I haven’t decided yet. I think if you can get it for cheap, the single player experiences can’t be beat (well, maybe by a PS5). I love my PS4 and and really enjoying it on my 65” Visio. The graphics look good as hell and the sound is fantastic. I don’t feel like I’m missing anything. Eventually I’ll upgrade to a PS5, but that day isn’t coming for a little while yet.

With regards the “short bursts”. I have two kids and COD is my short burst game. TLOU and the single player games are paced out such that you may need a little bit longer session in terms of sweet spot enjoyment, but YMMV.
