7·7 days agoIt’s weird to me how little marketing this game has had. It feels like even Metroid Dread got way more stuff (like the Special Edition, which was great!). But like you, I’m glad we’re getting the game at all 😬

Nintendo@lemmy.world•Switch 2 worldwide sales top 10.36 million, Switch tops 154.01 millionEnglish
9·7 days agoDo you think Switch can reach #1 most sold console?
I’m sure PlayStation will find some more sold units somewhere again if they do 😅
I think it’ll definitely pass the DS though.
Nice! I got my copy on a Criterion sale too :D

4·11 days agoI got the Super Mario Galaxy collection for Switch and I recently finished the main story for the first one. I got over 80 stars, so I might go back to get the rest to complete it. I played some Super Mario Galaxy 2 after that, but then went back to Cyberpunk 2077.
I got the physical version of TMNT: Splintered Fate and I haven’t tried it yet, since I was waiting for my cousin to get it too so we can play online. We’ll probably organize an online session soon.
Finally, I want to try Luigi’s Mansion on Nintendo Online. I think I played it a little bit back in the day, and I enjoyed Luigi’s Mansion 3. Maybe I should go back to finishing that one instead for spooky season 😅

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles@lemmy.world•“Layers of cool storytelling”: Juan Ferreyra reflects on ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ ahead of departure
2·14 days agoAbsolutely! The art was amazing. I’m really looking forward to seeing the new team’s take, but will miss Ferreyra’s art.

Analogue Community@lemmy.world•Analogue's October 16th announce history (2025 edition)English
3·28 days agoOnly thing I can think of is they announce that the 3D is now shipping. Announcing another date would be meaningless, since last one was delayed anyway. Maybe manufacturing the 3D they found a cheaper way to make Nt, Super Nt and Sega Sg so they’re bringing them back. Maybe they just show more of the 3D 🤷

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles@lemmy.world•NYCC 25 – NECA TMNT Booth Images
2·29 days agoI liked it and I appreciate the fact that it lives in its own “Roninverse”. I mean it in the way that it’s a continuation of the saga without messing with what came before or what’s happening on the main line. But it’s still in parallel to the main turtles, not replacing them. I think they pulled that of introducting new characters and continuing the mythology. Not like “the turtles died, here’s four new ones” 😆

8·2 months agoPlus, you can receive in-game bonus items if you have save data from the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom or Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity games on your Nintendo Switch 2.
Not the greatest bonus items, just a couple of swords. But I really like when they do this kind of thing!

Nintendo@lemmy.world•What are you playing this weekend? 2025-09-12English
2·2 months agowhat about people who aren’t fans of the show? 😛
There’s probably way better 3D platformers to play on Switch than this in that case 😅
Is this also available in the NSO version?
I haven’t tried it on NSO, but I’d assume it does work as well since a it’s built in “cheat”.

3·2 months agoI’ve been playing Rally Arcade Classics for a review. It’s an arcade simulator rally game with a retro aestethic and works pretty well on the Switch.
I put Cyberpunk 2077 on hold while I play SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake. It’s a fun platformer if you like the show, just like Battle for Bikini Bottom. I don’t think it’s one of the best 3D platformers or anything, but as a fan of the show, I’m having fun.
On the retro side, I recently got Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance on the Game Cube. So far I’ve only played Sub-Zero, but I’m planning on trying out all the characters and fatalities. It’s “Mortal Kombat 5”, the first one exclusive to consoles (no arcade). It changed the fighting formula a bit, so it’s interesting. It’s also not included in the Legacy Kollection, well the GBA version is, but it’s not the same 😬
I’ve had the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. on my calendar for so long, I planned to play the original game on my Famicom to celebrate. So I’ll try to finish it in one go on Famicom tomorrow (remember to press A on the title screen before pressing start to go back to the beginning of the world where you got Game Over!).
So, I did something stupid. I started an MMORPG, when I don’t even have time for normal games.
Sounds like me every time I get invited to a Minecraft server 🤣
Anyone else a bit overwhelmed after the Direct? I definitely want to play Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection, the Mario Galaxies (just for 2, since haven’t played it, played 1 on Wii and Mario 3D All-Stars), Metroid Prime 4 and Hyrule Warriors, maybe Yoshi and who knows what else… 😱

3·2 months agoYeah, I remember people didn’t like the Switch one because of lack of content. But yeah, this one seems to fix it. I completely skipped the Switch one, but this one looks fun. I think the most fun in these is probably multiplayer though.

3·2 months agoThe koopalings are new and there’ll be more new content which they’ll talk about “in the future”.

Oh, Age of Calamity! I got Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment and I am loving it. 60fps is how these games were meant to be played! I’m only a few hours in, but it’s incredibly fun and one of the best games this year for me. It has everything I enjoyed about Age of Calamity, but it looks and runs so much better. I love the BotW/TotK stuff, and Koei Tecmo do such a good job with Zelda storytelling (whereas Nintendon’t). I think I’ll be playing this continuously until Metroid Prime 4 comes out (and even after that too).
Last week I mentioned TMNT: Splintered Fate. I finally got to play it! I went straight to online with my cousin, not knowing much about it. It’s fun, but challenging! We did a few runs of the sewers and the furthest we got is we managed to beat Karai, but lost against the punk frogs. I guess we need to learn a bit more about upgrades and such, but we got our asses kicked! We’ll probably play some more on our own and hopefully be better prepared for our next session.
