Oh no! Glad it didn’t drag-on too long.

Oh it will be finished. Yes. Yes it will.
I love that needle minder something fierce
I will admit to some obsessive planning. Doing the bushes was a challenge.
That was Not Fun. Mostly because in order to really see it against the black cloth I had to use two strands of black instead of the usual one. But thank you!
Thanks! Yeah I’m pretty pleased with how it’s turning out. I’ve definitely had a couple moments of frustration and doing something this big has been a bit of a challenge but it’s satisfying to see.

If you’re in the states hit up a Michaels or a Joannes (or whatever your local craft store is). They’ll have some little starter kits that should include all of the things you’ll need to finish the pattern as well as a pattern you’ll hopefully find interesting.
I could see a metallic being pretty nice. Interesting to try out anyway.
That’s a Howler of a title. Looks great though. Really like the colors.
This looks great. Pretty sure I’d completely lose my place. I do blocks of half stitches but always go back across when I hit a spot that makes sense to me.
That needle minder brings me such joy.
Thanks so much. I did a project way back then too! I got back into it last year and have been having a lot of fun with it.
Thanks! The Howl piece is looking good!
Thank you! And yes. We definitely are. I’m going to love it when it’s done. And I’ll mooooostly enjoy the process of getting there. And yeah I’m still convinced black cloth was the way to go.

Mostly not too bad. It’s pretty clever how they hide a bunch of the wiring under the tea house. You have to kind of braid a bunch of it and shove it under a little lego hide along with the connection board. That was tricky. I made my daughter do the braiding.
This is the second set I’ve done a light kit for (the first was the Daily Bugle set. Talk about jumping into the deep end…) so I kind of knew how the wiring worked with the bricks at this point. The instructions were pretty good and the wiring was pretty good as well. It didn’t come with a power source and it wants a usb power source instead of a battery pack or something, but I had some old usb power blocks running around, so that was fine.
