Haven is an interesting idea and I hope only the best for it, but many are wary of it due to its history of project management.
It hasn’t kept up well with the monero codebase even after critical security updates and with plenty of people urging them, and without any real explanation. It’s something I’d need to see improved before using it for real outside of testing.
A site that aggregates monero news is https://themonero.dance (I host it) but there’s others that are similar yet different. themoneromoon.com is one really good one
I can, and I could, but I liked having a game with Monero being so central to it
it was a Monero version of the game Plinko that was “provably fair” by using math on the blockchain. It raised a lot of XMR for the general fund, and you could also win xmr when a xmr trivia bot randomly put you on the spot in the chat.
the coolest users were ones that would use multi-outputs to place several bets at once which made a lot of action, and back then required using the cli wallet with skillz
Why is it better to not need tor for a lottery?
I’m glad you like it! It’s going to get a good update/upgrade soon as well.
fun fact: every cost of the site is paid exclusively in xmr directly. It’s fiat free!
