You’re right that there’s a lot of spam, but I use Craigslist all of the time for finding stuff like furniture, tools, appliances, etc. Still seems pretty good in those categories.

I actually feel the opposite about those two series. Foundation series diverges from the books in a really fun and welcome way. Silo series felt pretty watered down from the books.

Another one that gets me is “portal”. I’m often asked to create a this portal or that portal, but once I finally get them to describe the requirements it’s just a standard web form or static web page.

Apparently it stands for Computer, I guess to distinguish them from TTRPGs. Had to Google it because they never bothered to spell out the initialized term in the article.
I switched to Tidal a while ago, mainly because they seem to pay the artists better than most other services. They are lacking many of the convenient features of other services, like controlling the app on my pc from my phone, or collaborative playlists, but I’ve gotten used to not having those. I would definitely recommend if you’re just looking for a way to stream music without cheating the artists.
I’m also not a fan of memes, but I acknowledge that many other people are. The most I can do is block communities that are expressly for memes and shrug off the rest. There’s plenty of other places for grouches like us.
