True, and as long as expense ratios are the same or lower than your US index/mutual fund then your only real issue is if the US market rebounds and outperforms your portfolio if you had diversified more.
And the expense ratio’s can vary a lot. For example Fidelity shows the exp. ratio of ($0.08 per $1,000) 0.008% for their Index Equity Fund, where their International Equity Fund has an exp. ratio of ($4.02 per $1,000) 0.402%.
Even small differences in fees can have a huge effect over time. Say you’ve invested $100,000 at a 7% annual return: A fund with a 0.80% expense ratio could eat up $70,000 more of your returns over 30 years than a fund with a 0.40% expense ratio.

I had no doubt that it was, I guess my post was more that they have both been around for a bit doing close to the same task. So for the people pretending this is “Gnome abandoning things like they always do” I think it’s kind of silly to not expect a “default” app that is more than 7+ years old to be replaced with something newer.
Especially because these are the “default” apps that I would expect to be replaced once someone learns the DE and outgrows the defaults.

I think in my years of using Gnome I’ve never used either, and had to search apps to see if I even had them installed. I have Evince under the fantastic title “document viewer” which is fixed in that commit yesterday. As for Papers, I don’t even have it installed on 49-alpha.
Depends on your goals and what you are willing to risk to achieve them. Some people throw paint on priceless art, some people light themselves on fire, some people yell at people on the internet. Any protest is a cost-risk evaluation.

I don’t think they need to make their games FOSS to do right by the consumer. If you have an online game and no longer want to support the server part, it would be super cool to share that code, but at the very least companies shouldn’t be trying to shut down community servers. The same goes for the game itself, the source code would be very cool, but not going after people who still want to play the game they’ve chosen to no longer support seems reasonable.
If a company is ending support their ability to enforce copyright should also end, outside of people that are trying to profit off trying to resell the game as their own (which probably doesn’t happen all that much).
By 2035 we could be under water, or all living in a radioactive hellscape. And the argument of paying people to use a free service breaks logic.

Vance has the respect and following of nobody. No way the GOP stand behind Vance fucking a couch if something happens to Trump.
They lack empathy is my point. The person doesn’t understand why the Right fucking everyone over constantly would make people feel bad/sad/depressed. The thought of others doesn’t even occur to them, it’s all about them, how they are the victim.

I feel like I remember Mrs. Trump and Mr. Musk both talking about “terrorism”. I remember Mrs. Trump even had a jacket for the occasion that said “I really don’t care, do you?” to flaunt her hatred for our country.
They tried, but any additions or removals required a vote they lost every time. They of course could have used all their interns time making a list of amendments to be voted on, and then space them out for as long as the GOP kept trying to cram this shit through even though nobody is happy with it.

Funny that the Supreme Court can give the President unconstitutional immunity for his crimes because he’s running the country, and being held accountable for his crimes would be a distraction from his “important work”.
