It’s a pretty easy swap, especially when you aren’t worried about voltage sag.

That’s actually kind of a nice blue
Is the ZWB3 glass.
The second is a zoom showing the minor secondary emission spectra, so there’s light around 400 and 675. It also shows the filter attenuates the 400+ light but doesn’t help with the <400 light so much.
Convoy 3x21b too
Ooh yeah that’s a goner. I wonder what happened. Usually it takes a lot of extended heat to do that and that would be hard to do given the way hank sets up his lights.
It could be anything from a driver fault to a short. Just replacing the led won’t be sufficient.
I’m thinking those green indicator LEDs need to be purple…
Weird color? Check
Overkill? Check
Borderline useless? Check
Low skill? Check
Right up my alley.
Pretty straightforward. The driver is glued in, so I used debonder and pushed the driver out by pushing on the top of the driver through the switch hole with some needle nose pliers.
Sure. LMK if you’re ever interested in extreme UV or other weird colors.
👍
Heya. I have enough parts for 1 more build. LMK if you want it.
I might make some more in a month or two but I need to get enough requests on deck to have another order make sense.
What driver? Also what color lighted switch?
Always ready to appreciate an S2…!
You’d do best to have a driver that controls current within the stated voltage range.
In that little light I’m using a 12V boost, but it controls low enough to regulate at the low end.
Nominal 8-10V, 2100ma, 3S3P 9090 format. 455nm.
I’ve got 5 5050 and 20 3535. I’m more than happy to send you some at cost if you’re interested. I’ve also got a big 9090 sized blue emitter that I don’t think I’m going to use if you’re interested.
There’s certainly a learning curve…!
I’m curious to get this in a host and would love to be able to take photometry readings on this guy.
Outstanding! That is a very promising beam.
Sorry for the dirty emitter. I didn’t give it a clean up after the reflow.
Social media platforms are weird.
