True, but the reason for the vitriol is because most mediocre anime aren’t nearly as popular as SAO.

I think there’s a 50% chance we went to the same theater, because I also went to see The Colors Within yesterday
Haha, yeah, quite likely.
slight plot hole
Hm, maybe, but they were quite lenient with other things in the ends so…
Still a weird experience to go to the mainstream cinema and see an anime film in a packed house, though. That would have been unthinkable a few years ago.
Hmm, I don’t know. It wasnt in any cinemas near me, so it depends on where you are I guess. Bigger cities generally have a wider variety of audiences.

I tried Code Geass as my 1st anime and dropped it 1st episode haha. I didn’t like the OP and the artstyle. Apparently that was enough at the time.
Then I tried SAO (I know), and here I am, 12-13 years later: weeb and still haven’t watched Code Geass.

Haven’t really had the brain space to pick up anything from this season yet, but I did watch two anime films yesterday in the theater: Chainsaw Man: Reze’s Arc and The Colors Within.
CSM: I didn’t like S1 much. I thought it was okay at best. But this film was incredible. Denji is much more human here and Reze is just incredible. She really stole the show. The pool scene everyone raves about deserves all the praise it gets. Visually it’s a big upgrade too imo. More vibrant and better movement. And man, that soundtrack was so good. Kensuke Ushio doesn’t fail to deliver. If this is how the rest of CSM is going to be adapted, I’m all for it.
The Colors Within: the theater I went to ocassionally has anime film showings outside of the release schedule, and they showed this one this time. Great movie as expected of Naoko Yamada, also with a great soundtrack by Kensuke Ushio. Bit of a tonal whiplash to see it right after CSM though haha.

I’ve been hearing about this since he’s in office again. How many times have they been thinking twice by now?

Seems so obvious that none of these minigame things they’re trying are landing, they’ve been informally awful
I think changing it every time is good, but otherwise I agree. They don’t add much.
Hopefully they fix it up as the Gamechanger version was so good.
I agree. The game changer episode is still the best one to me.

Ah right, personal preference is fair.
I do think that explosive/hype music would’ve been out of place though, looking at the more introspective and mysterious themes of the show.

cyclists A single cyclist you mean. I think most cyclists prefer a proper bikelane (that is not just a painted gutter)

Hmm, but one of the biggest reasons for its success is the art. You’d need to replicate that somehow in live action, otherwise it’s just pointless tbh

IMO it’s rather lackluster in the music department though. I barely noticed any soundtrack, and when I do, they don’t seem to fit the scene.
What makes you find it lackluster or not fitting?

and the guy replied back essentially “I’m not making decisions, I’m doing what i think you would do”.
Hmm yeah, that’s not great
people tired of it at Marvel, it’s not a stretch to assume it’ll happen with DC.
Yeah, probably.

I’m not so deep into DC stuff anymore, so I don’t really keep up with what Gunn says and doesn’t, but I don’t disagree with what he says bere. The comic books fans do tend to underestimate non-comic book fans. There’s a bit of an elitist edge to saying casual audiences won’t understand if there are two Batmans at once.
If everything DC is “Gunn style” the masses will get tired of it,
Sure, but that’s quite an if. I doubt he’s going to direct and write all of them himself.

I don’t disagree with this. Comics do this all the time and it’s not like comic readers are necessarily smarter than movie-goers.
The other option would be to have no Matt Reeves Batman (I don’t think it’d fit in the DCU) or no DCU Batman. Both would be a shame imo.

I’m not sure how what you’re saying relates to the article. That having 2 Batmans will ruin his career?

En daarvoor is het nodig dat we economie tot een aandachtspunt maken. Het gesprek moet draaien om de economie.
Helemaal mee eens. Dat deed Mamdani denk ik best goed

I think Apothecary Diaries does a stellar job

Right, so more or less astrology or divination but with numbers instead. That’s grossly simplified probably, but, sorry, that does not sound like hard, legitimate evidence to me.

Nice, I’ll give it a read then.

Sounds interesting. Is it painful or depressing to read the entire way through or is there space to breathe as well? I’d like to give it a read, but I don’t deal well with fiction that is depressing all the time.
Saw the trailers and tbh, the janky 3D animation and sometimes models really put me off
