I do agree with you regarding drove vs droves, but that’s something Connections does sometimes. I think they sacrifice accuracy to avoid giving a hint (in this case that it’s more than one). I can’t name other examples off the top of my head, but I’ve definitely noticed it before.

12·16 days agoThis is oversimplification to avoid an essay; Nationalism has been on the rise all over. With nationalism comes a loss of multi-nation agreements/positive sentiment (a la Brexit). Even without statements of pro-Putin ideology, it’s easy to see why Russia would want nationalists in power. I have family in Germany and am worried about AfD.
TL;DR - they don’t even need to be pro-Putin to get his help (not to say that they aren’t)
13·17 days agoI’ve only willingly listened to him talk a couple of times (YouTube shorts where his head is on a space Marine from 40k) and I get what you mean. One hopes that this can dissuade some of his more ‘moderate’ listeners, but I do worry about the unhinged majority.

40·24 days agoI haven’t edited a wiki page, so maybe I’m missing something. Isn’t that an accurate statement? Until yesterday we didn’t know the verdict, and we still need the sentencing. Both of those absolutely should be added to the page once result are known. Hence why information would/will change.
They’ve locked the article, and it still states the ‘criminal status’.

Around 2014, over 93 million people were playing Candy Crush Saga, while revenue over a three-month period as reported by King was over $493 million. Five years after its release on mobile, the Candy Crush Saga series has received over 2.7 billion downloads, and the game has been one of the highest-grossing and most-played mobile apps in that time frame. As of September 2023, it had reached over $20 billion in revenue.
Safe to say mobile market makes a lot more money we’d be comfortable with.
I shared my arcade membership with my mom a while ago (I had gotten it included) and it put her purchases on my card. This bio-chemist (very smart lady in some specific subjects) spent over $25 on ‘micro’ transactions in a week or so. They prey on the group that just want to get things done.
3·24 days agoI was asking what Davis said on that level. Saying a woman should be raped is a statement towards a large demographic.
Davis is also an actor, and is playing a roll. He makes awful statements on Alex Horne’s behalf, but we know it’s in jest.
I was raised on British comedy - satire in particular. Tosh’s retort wasn’t satire. I don’t know why you’re being such a simp for a guy who went out of fashion ages ago.
Maybe you know something I don’t, but I’m not aware of horrendous comments towards large demographics from Davies

Hard pass on Daniel Tosh. Didn’t really like his ‘bro’ humor to begin with - and then he joked about how funny it’d be if a woman in his audience got raped after she heckled him. Same as I wouldn’t like Jimmy Carr as a long term host. He’s great on cats and such, but that’s not the tone I’d like for taskmaster. Mulaney might be good, but I don’t know how he handles improv also might just be a bit too much of a personality. If Craig Ferguson in still in the states I think he’d be good as well.

Yeah, same with LAX. I find that TSA gets the most backed up when it’s families or infrequent fliers. When you fly for business you’ve got a system down and that helps the line move faster.
